1. About These Terms

These terms and conditions govern your purchase of custom wardrobes and related services from Factory Direct Wardrobes ABN [ABN Number], located at 93 Wattle Street, Punchbowl NSW 2196. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Quotes and Pricing

Quote Validity

All quotes provided by Factory Direct Wardrobes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, we reserve the right to requote based on current material costs and availability.

What is Included

Your quote includes all items specifically listed in the quotation document. This typically covers:

• Custom manufactured wardrobe components
• Hardware (handles, hinges, runners) as specified
• Professional installation by our qualified team
• Removal of packaging and installation debris

Additional Costs

The following items are not included unless specifically stated in your quote:

• Electrical work (lighting installation, power points)
• Plastering, painting, or wall repairs
• Removal or disposal of existing wardrobes
• Floor coverings or modifications
• Building permits if required

3. Custom Manufacturing

All Factory Direct Wardrobes products are custom manufactured to your specifications. This means:

• Each wardrobe is built specifically for your space and requirements
• Dimensions are based on measurements taken at your property
• Colours, finishes, and configurations are made to your selections
• Products cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty

Due to the custom nature of our products, it is essential that all specifications are confirmed in writing before manufacturing begins.

4. Measurements and Site Requirements

Measurement Responsibility

Our team will conduct a professional site measure before manufacturing. You are responsible for:

• Providing clear access to the installation area
• Advising us of any known issues with walls, floors, or ceilings
• Ensuring the room is in its final state (painting, flooring completed)
• Informing us of any concealed services (pipes, wiring, ducts)

Site Access

On installation day, please ensure:

• Clear access to the property and installation area
• Adequate parking for our installation vehicle
• Power is available and accessible
• Someone over 18 years of age is present throughout installation

5. Payment Terms

Deposit

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order and commence manufacturing. This deposit is non-refundable once manufacturing has begun.

Final Payment

The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of installation, before our team leaves the site. We accept payment by:

• Bank transfer (EFT)
• Credit card (Visa, Mastercard)
• Cash
• Cheque (must be cleared before installation)

Overdue Payments

Accounts not paid by the due date may incur interest at the rate of 2% per month. We reserve the right to withhold delivery or installation until payment is received.

6. Manufacturing and Delivery

Lead Times

Standard manufacturing time is approximately 3 to 4 weeks from receipt of deposit and final confirmation of specifications. Lead times may vary during peak periods and will be advised at the time of order.

Delivery and Installation

We will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient installation date. If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours notice to avoid a rescheduling fee.

7. Warranty

10 Year Warranty

Factory Direct Wardrobes provides a comprehensive 10 year warranty on all our custom wardrobes. This warranty covers:

• Defects in materials and workmanship
• Structural integrity of cabinetry
• Drawer and door mechanisms under normal use
• Delamination of board surfaces

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or accident
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage from exposure to excessive moisture or heat
• Modifications made by anyone other than Factory Direct Wardrobes
• Damage caused by building movement or settling
• Minor colour variations in natural materials

Making a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, contact us with your original order details and a description of the issue. We will arrange an inspection and, if the claim is valid, repair or replace the affected components at no charge.

8. Cancellation Policy

Before Manufacturing

If you wish to cancel your order before manufacturing has commenced, your deposit will be refunded less a $250 administration fee to cover design and quotation costs.

After Manufacturing Has Begun

Once manufacturing has commenced, cancellation is not possible as products are custom made to your specifications. The full contract price remains payable.

Variations

Minor variations to your order may be possible before manufacturing begins. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes. Additional costs may apply for variations.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from these terms or your purchase is limited to:

• The replacement or repair of the goods; or
• The cost of having the goods replaced or repaired; or
• A refund of the purchase price

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage.

11. Dispute Resolution

If we cannot resolve the dispute, you may lodge a complaint with NSW Fair Trading at www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au or call 13 32 20.

12. Privacy

We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.

13. General

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with your quotation and any order confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Factory Direct Wardrobes.

Amendments

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are those in effect at the time you place your order.
